Another romantic comedy that adds color to the Bengali movie genre is ‘Bibaha Diaries’.It’s a sweet love story of two couples. The story revolves around their journey from love to marriage. It projects the present generation with an age-old traditional fight about petty things in their life. The director, Manik Bhaumik has gifted his audience, with many new concepts through his movies. His hits such as Bedroom, Maach Misti and More, Family Album presents new generation thoughts and their way of living. Due to such talented directors, the Bengali film industry is now fetching quality audience. This attempt is praise worthy.A family movie
Bibaha Diaries is once again a family movie, where relationships sustain through the path of love. The lead cast is of actor Ritwick Chakraborty and Sohini Sarkar. Both of them did absolute justice and looked pretty stunning in their roles. In the movie, they were named as Protoya and Royona. Protoya is a talented director cum writer and is associated with theater. Anyhow his friends and he tried to run it by creating better plays but people hardly watch theaters now. Especially the young generation does not put on any interest to watch boring theatres. Royona portrays an image of an independent woman of the era, who cherishes her dreams and is truthful to herself. She is a professional photographer. She could not commit to a relationship until she met Protoya. They fell in love and finally decides to marry. As we all know that the epicenter of problems unknowingly germinates from the D’day. As the two people stay together they get to know the person behind the skin. These two creatures don’t pretend to be the perfect man and woman and thus the second nature comes in the forefront. Finally, it leads to clashes. The relationship values
The movie emotes the relationship values, where the mother-in-law expects her daughter-in-law to be working. She even wishes her daughter in law to take care of the family or she isn’t capable to hold the post of the perfect daughter-in-law, hence a clash of ideas stem to burgeon arguments. On the other hand for a girl to adjust to a family with new people and place is difficult as she wants to create her own world where she can’t please everyone. She even doesn’t like anyone to disturb her privacy as Royana was highly upset when Protoya’s friend came to their house from Mumbai with his girlfriend to stay for a couple of days. Though the couple tries to adjust during their hard times’ misunderstandings fly into the swathe of their mental peace. Due to the work pressure, the couples find them busy and Royana feels neglected as Protoya would remain busy with his new job as the only theatre could not sustain his family. Royona took the extreme decision of leaving the house on her birthday when she called Protoya but she was stunned to hear a female voice over Protoya’s phone but that was an utter misunderstanding as he left his phone in the office. Since we know that every problem has a solution, its just that we should know the art of managing everything tactfully. The movie, unlike other movies, never delineate the negative side of the nuptial tie but in fact, shows how to overcome situations with love and faith because we human beings are the slaves of our habits so it’s really difficult to overcome them. In the complex knot of relationships ‘Bibaha Diaries’ shows the path of happiness.IMDB VERDICT
